Apple launched its new cool and sexy table computer called Apple iPad. In this article I will discuss the pros and cons of this new device. Read this article first before purchasing to avoid disappointments!
When I saw the iPad for the first time and got amused with its style, lightweight and design. Apple really done a great job in making the first impression count, however (unfortunately ) there are some downsides of the iPad. Below are the Pros and Cons of this new device:
Apple iPad Pros:
Design and style: As I mentioned earlier, Apple done a really great job on the looks and feels of this cool and light weighted device. It really looks like a sci-fi computer that we generally see in the Hollywood movies, plus with the added touch screen facility makes the entire process very easy and futuristic!
Speed: I must admit that I was a bit sceptical about its processor power, however the scepticism flew away from the moment I start using it! iPad is really fast, with 1Gig of processor power you can easily run multiple programs at the same time without any lacking or crashing whatsoever.
iWork: This is one the coolest programs that iPad offers, the iWork. It is like your Microsoft Office where you can write word documents, create spreadsheets, build databases and even slideshows. Very handy especially when you are on the train. It makes the life a lot easier due to its lightweight and efficiency.
Flexibility: The large screen, lightweight and touch screen elements of the iPad makes this device very a flexible way to work. If you liked the iPhone and the iPod then you will definitely love the iPad! It has loads of entertainment elements built in, such as able to listen to music, watch TV, videos, pictures and even internet.
However there are some downsides as well (unfortunately)...
Apple iPad Cons:
No flash video: that's right the current iPad does not support Flash content. This is a huge disappointment. With so many wonderful things iPad has the lack of Flash made me cry, really! As you know without Flash you cannot watch YouTube Videos on the way. I really hope that the iPad create some kind of plug-in or something so that we can enjoy YouTube on the way!
No USB: the current iPad does not have any USB slot; however this is not that awful as it sounds. With hard disk spaces that ranges from 16Gb, 32GB and a massive 64GB you will hardly require additional space.
Battery life: The official word from Apple is 10 hours. However with an extensively use of applications such as video, expect that figure to be significantly lower.
Multi-tasking (or lack of): In particular, the webcam. iPad does now have any built in webcam, however there will be separate accessories, including external webcams. However I really felt that an inbuilt camera would be great.
