Fabled PC developer Crytek has swapped the tropical jungles of a small fictional island for the skyline of New York City in Crysis 2. The iconic Nanosuit from the first Crysis game makes a return, giving players the chance to wield it in a bid to save humanity from an alien invasion. Crysis 2 also marks the first time that the CryEngine has made its way onto consoles, with the title being released simultaneously on Xbox 360, PlayStation, and PC. Keep an eye out for Crysis 2 when it arrives in Australian stores this Thursday.
Despite the troubles going on in Japan, Sega has confirmed to GameSpot AUthat Yakuza 4 is still slated for release on March 24. While the game is still set in Japan, the biggest addition to the latest instalment is the introduction of three new protagonists, bringing the total of playable characters up to four. Each character brings their own different missions to the table and eventually those missions link up, revealing the bigger conspiracy going on in the Japanese underworld.
The other big release this week, also from Japan, is Dissidia 012: Duodecim Final Fantasy. The Dissidia spin-off franchise is really one for the Final Fantasy fans, bringing together characters from across the universe and making them fight. Nine new fighters have been added to the roster alongside new fighting mechanics such as assists and an EX Mode.
