 The iPad isn't just a hot new consumer device, it's also an increasingly popular tool for business. Each week we take a look at the new or updated business apps for the iPad, and highlight trends in how tablets are being used in the enterprise.

This week we look at a new presentation app, a new project management app and the new version of Google Plus for iOS.

Presentation Link makes it possible for multiple people to view the same presentation on different iPads. Instead of giving an overhead presentation, participants can follow along on their own iPads. It also supports VGA and HDMI output so that you can present to external monitors or projects as well. You can either sync with Dropbox or access presentations via e-mail. It reminds me of Conference Pad, which we covered here.

Before this week, the Google Plus iOS app was unable to run on the iPad. this week's update changed that, and brought additional fixes. However, you'll still be stuck using it in an iPhone sized version on the iPad. Our Jon Mitchell writes that he still prefers the mobile Web version on the iPad to the iPhone-sized experience.

Ultimate iPad 2 case roundup

Editors' note: Updated June 3 with new cases from Bella, JavoEdge, G-Form, and Handstand.

We know that a lot of people who buy the iPad 2 are also going to buy Apple's new innovative folding cover. But then again plenty of folks prefer to shop for non-Apple alternatives, and we've got more than 30 iPad 2 covers and stands to show you. Some are adaptations of previous models made for the original iPad and some are fresh designs.

Of course, this roundup only represents a fraction of the cases and stands available for the iPad 2, and many sleeves that were available for the original iPad will also work just fine with the iPad 2. Some of the following cases are available now and some will be arriving later this month and in May. As we get these in-house, we'll offer more substantial write-ups of each product and put together a list of top iPad 2 covers as we did for the original iPad.

 The iPad isn't just a hot new consumer device, it's also an increasingly popular tool for business. Every week we take a look at the latest developments in its use in the enterprise.

This week we look at a new iPad app for cardiologists, new apps from SugarCRM, Radian6 and Zoho and a few more apps that bring SharePoint to the iPad.

 

We hear a lot about the potential for the iPad in health care, and this week we saw the launch of an app that may validate that: Airstrip Cardiology. Airstrip offers apps for several platform for sending encrypted ECG information directly from hospital medical equipment to mobile devices. Cardiologists can view the current state of a patient, or browse their history.

Radian6, the social analytics company Salesforce.com recently acquired, announced a new iPhone and iPad app this week. The app gives users the ability monitor the Social Web for brand mentions, respond to customers or to route issues to other members of the team.

 

Last week we told you about Mobile Entree, a SharePoint plugin for creating touchscreen-friendly interfaces. Yesterday, we took an look at several more options for bringing SharePoint to the iPad, including several native clients.

SugarCRM announced a new version of its iPad app this week at its Sugarcon event. The new version was built by iExtensions, a mobile enterprise development company SugarCRM recently acquired.

 

As we reported earlier this week, Zoho has launched an iPad app for its popular Web-based document service. Unfortunately, the iPad app isn't capable of editing documents. The iPad app can view documents from Zoho Writer, Sheet and Show.
